the band
Dinesh Perera

07/14/2017
Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
Dinesh is one of the Co-Founders of The Szars and so, one of the original four. When asked why he loves the band he says "Everyone clicks so well. Most practices we end up dying of laughter because of something we say. We all realize that together we are a family and we really know way too much about each other." He also adds that "You'll see us when we are old still playing together, every song might be slowed down though" His guitar's name: Roxanne (Epiphone Les Paul Traditional)
Nick Sparacino
Lead Vocals & Lead Guitar
Nick, also known as Jesus, is the other Co-Founder of The Szars and also one of the original four. He believes more in this band than he does in himself. He is also obsessed with Ian. Why? "He's incredibly smart with music, he can answer any question I have, instantly play a song by just hearing it, and write all our horn music. Overall he's a lifesaver and while he can be somewhat mean at times I love being around him and I think deep down he really loves this band and I love him too." He also adds "Also ladies, he is very gifted...if you know what I mean" His guitar's names: Rosie (Epiphone Les Paul), Unnamed (Fender Telecaster)

Ian Kinnaman

06/20/2017
Bass Guitar
Ian is one of the original four and is a music major, so you could say he knows what he is doing. Writing all our music and slapping his bass whenever he can, he does have this thought on which member he would take out on a date. "I would take out Harrison because he's thoughtful and I know he would act like a gentleman. His bass name: "I've never named her even though we've been together for 8 years." I think it's time Ian.
Yohannes Bulcho
Drums
Yohannes is the newest member of the band, but definitely the drummer we've been searching for. With insane chops and impressive drumming career, as shown on his Instagram, Yohannes still talks about the craziest moment he has had with the band. "The first show I played with The Szars, I was asked two days before the show. So the night and day before Dinesh, Ian, and I ran through the 3 hour set list and we amazingly got it all down in one day." His sets name: Black Night (Ludwig)

Harrison Trumbour

06/09/2017
Tenor Sax
Harrison, or the "Lighter Clarence Clemons," was the first horn to join the band back in 2016. From the second he ripped his first solo during "Let's Get it On," he was an immediate hit with the ladies. His favorite song to perform is "Thundercrack" by Bruce Springsteen as he duels his solos with Nick. His Saxophone name? He doesn't have one, so we're gonna go with Ruth.
Davey Creegan
Trombone
Davey, or Dave, is our fun loving, hard hitting, & overall teddy bear of a trombone player. With an itch to play notes as low and loud as possible, and a certain charisma singing country songs, he is a hit on and off the stage. He loves being in the band because of "The Boys (Especially Ian)." He also adds loving "The ability to play good music together and the dumb things the horns do during practices when we are not playing." His trombones name: Becky

Colson Mullen

07/14/2017
Trumpet
Colson has had a on and off relationship with the band, but is in it for the long run now. With piercing high notes and rolling solos he joined the band in the summer of 2017. He talks about his favorite member of the band and he says "Harrison, because he's a cutie and is bailing me out on parts half the time." His trumpet's name: "I think I'll name her Mystery...or Debbie."
Justin Kallungal
Keyboard
Justin is our smooth talking and fun loving keyboard player. With an ability to sightread like he's played the piece for years, he's a perfect fit. His favorite memory so far with the band was our Anniversary gig in the summer of 2018. His keyboards name, "Jemima, simple, yet elegant"
